Study with the ILO

The Institute believes that training is vital to all people in our country as it enables them to increase their knowledge and skills and to reach their full potential.

The ILO therefore wants to see the professionals in the licensing environment reaching the greatest levels. To do this, they need to have the best training possible.

Training and Instructional Design Academy of South Africa (TIDASA) is the preferred training provider of the ILO because of its professionalism and impeccable standards. With the aim of improving the standards in the licensing industry, together the ILO and TIDASA present the NaTIS Licensing Legislation and Procedures (NLLP) course.

The course deals with the theory of licensing from the registration and licensing of motor vehicles, to learners’ and driving licences, and to roadworthiness certification. This course is therefore suitable for all staff at registering authorities, driving licence testing centres, and vehicle testing stations.

The year-long NLLP has been designed so that learners study at their own speed and are not away from the workplace, so service delivery isn't compromised.

TIDASA presents a variety of courses specifically aimed at the traffic industry. In the NaTIS environment, the following courses are available:

  1. Audits and Inspections

  2. Supervisory Skills

  3. Fraud and Corruption

  4. Driving Licences

  5. Registration and Licensing

TIDASA also presents an array of courses that are applicable to all professionals:

  1. Diversity Management

  2. Employment Equity

  3. Coaching and Mentoring

  4. Business Writing

  5. Batho Pele

  6. Self and Relationship Management

  7. Basic Computer Skills
